    The Coronavirus is spreading across the world causing global events to shut down, schools to close, and even airlines to reduce flights. A disease started in Wuhan, China, COVID19, has now infected over 100,000 people in 96 countries. So what can you do to prevent the spread? North Carolina Air National Guardsman and 145th Medical Group Commander, Greg Hawkesworth, has provided a list of best practices to incorporate into your everyday life to reduce transmission of germs. Below are his recommendations:
  • Space A Is On Its Way!

    As members of the North Carolina Air National Guard draw closer towards the end of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft conversion, one phrase seems to echo throughout the local military community; Space A Travel. Space A (Availability) Travel is permitted travel aboard U.S. Military aircraft for military members and possibly their dependents, on or off duty, when excess capability allows.
  • North Carolina Air National Guardsmen Recognized for Completing U.S. Marine Corps. Training

    North Carolina Air National Guard members, Master Sgt. Daniel Judd and Master Sgt. Kernice Locklear, 263rd Combat Communications Squadron, were formally recognized by the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Brig. Gen. Stephen Mallette, for graduating from the United States Marine Corps Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at the New London headquarters building Air National Guard Base, Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020.
  • Fresh Off the Griddle!

    The smell of pancakes wafted through the New London Air National Guard Base as members of the North Carolina Air National Guard, local airport authorities, and local law enforcement, were invited to partake in a breakfast fundraiser early Sunday morning, Jan. 12, 2020, in New London, N.C. as part of a means to strengthen community ties and build new relationships while raising funds for Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
