Charlotte, N.C. (10/31/12) North Carolina Air National Guard’s 145th Civil Engineer Squadron called 26 Airmen to active duty at the Stanly County Airport near Albemarle, N.C. These guardsmen will ready the Disaster Relief Beddown System , a self-contained package designed to support 500 people with tents, generators, showers and bathroom facilities. U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Rebecca Tongen, 145th Civil Engineer Flight, gets an operations update for accountability during the 2015 Vigilant Guard Exercise. This exercise, held at the 145th Civil Engineer Squadron Regional Training Site, New London, N.C., March 6-8, 2015, is designed to measure the effectiveness of National Guard forces supporting civilian activities following a hurricane.
