U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Brian Adams, 145th Force Support Squadron, plays Taps to honor the lives lost 15 years ago on September 11, 2001 during a remembrance ceremony held at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Sept. 11, 2016. The song is a bugle call traditionally played at dusk, ceremonies, and military funerals; during this ceremony Taps was played to honor the 2,996 lives that were lost.
