North Carolina ANG Vigilant Guard 2015
U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Rebecca Tongen, 145th Civil Engineer Flight, gets an operations update for accountability during the 2015 Vigilant Guard Exercise. This exercise, held at the 145th Civil Engineer Squadron Regional Training Site, New London, N.C., March 6-8, 2015, is designed to measure the effectiveness of National Guard forces supporting civilian activities following a hurricane. Tongen, partnered with Donald Watson, North Carolina Forest Service, working together in the plans section responsible for receiving information on the affected areas and organizing assets for deployment into those areas of the hurricane scenario.
