145th AW Keeps “Mission Ready” as 2nd Winter Storm Hits the Carolinas

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Derek Hastings, 145th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, starts deicing operations removing snow and ice from 145th Airlift Wing, C-130 Hercules aircraft at the North Carolina Air National Guard base, Charlotte Douglas Intl. airport, February 14, 2014. The winter storm, which brought over six inches of snow and finished with a blanket of ice, made roads dangerous throughout the entire state and left many households and businesses without power.
