Vigilant Guard Alaska
North Carolina Guardsmen lift a container onto the roof of the Alaska National Guard armory in Kenai during the Alaska National Guard Vigilant Guard 2010 exercise April 25. Vigilant Guard is an exercise program sponsored by the National Guard Bureau that allows Joint Forces Headquarters, Joint Task Forces and various field units to improve command and control and to exercise operational relationships with local, state, regional and federal partners. These Guardsmen are part of Joint Task Force Tarheel composed of service members from the Joint Forces Headquarter-North Carolina, 263rd Combat Communications Squadron, and 60th Troop Command an subordinate units..
