U.S. Air Force Airmen and their families came together to attend a post deployment Yellow Ribbon event held at Lake Junaluska, N.C., June 26 2016. During the two-day event, Airmen and Soldiers were able to enjoy the beauty of Lake Junaluska and participate in informational briefings and breakout sessions with other military families, sharing tips on how they handled different situations during their loved ones deployment. The North Carolina Air National Guard’s Yellow Ribbon Program serves as a series of stepping stones to help reunite families and reacclimatize Airmen and Soldiers back to the civilian world after deployments. CMSgt Huneycutt receives Mishap-Free Flying Hours Milestone Award

Chief Master Sgt. Andrew Huneycutt, 145th Operations Support Squadron (OSS) chief loadmaster, earned the 12,500 Mishap-Free Flying Hour Milestone Award which culminates his 36 year career and dedication to standards at the North Carolina Air National Guard Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, June 5, 2016. Huneycutt joined the North Carolina Air National Guard in January of 1980 and has spent his entire career as a loadmaster on the C-130 Hercules aircraft. He now provides leadership and management of the 156th Airlift Squadron and 145th OSS flying and ground training programs which ensures operational readiness of its members.
