U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Brendan Hastings, 145th Security Forces Squadron, teaches Members of the North Carolina Air National Guard how to load a magazine in to an M-4 carbine safely during an Ability To Survive and Operate (ATSO) training held in a C-17 Globemaster III hangar at the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG) Base, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Jan. 10, 2019. The ATSO exercise consists of ten rotating stations and serves as refresher training for situations like self-aid buddy care, explosive ordinance device recognition, and chemical warfare decontamination stations.
