Col Shawne M. Johnson is Commander, 145 Mission Support Group, 145 Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG). She is responsible for providing specialized services in support of the 145 Airlift Wing and its subordinate and attached units.
Col Johnson enlisted in the NCANG as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician on 12 Jul 86. She served in the enlisted ranks of the 156 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (156 AES) and then received a direct commission in the Medical Service Corp (MSC) of the 156 AES on 7 Dec 96. She then transferred from the MSC Corp to the Line of the Air Force on 21 Jun 99, and served in the 145 Mission Support Flight as a personnel officer until appointed Commander of the same squadron on 10 Sep 05. On 1 Jul 12, she was appointed as the J9, Director of Soldier and Airmen Support Services at Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQs) in Raleigh, NC. On 1 Jul 14, she was assigned as the Deputy Human Resource Officer (HRO), JFHQs in Raleigh and then appointed as the state Human Resource Officer for Army and Air on 1 Mar 15. She served as the state HRO until her reassignment on 1 Jan 18 to be the 145 Mission Support Group Commander.
Col Johnson resides in Concord, NC with her husband of 30 years, Tim Johnson. They have three children; Amelia, 29; Will, 27 and Anna, 19.
