Col GARY L. DODGE

Col Gary Dodge is the 145th Maintenance Group Commander, North Carolina Air National Guard, located at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, North Carolina. Col Dodge provides leadership and management to a group of 278 Officers and Airmen consisting of the 145th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, the 145th Maintenance Squadron, and the 145th Maintenance Operations Flight. He is responsible for over 400 million dollars in aircraft and equipment, and oversees the day-to-day maintenance production for all flying activities for the 145th Airlift Wing.

Col Dodge began his Air Force career in 1987 in the Transportation Squadron at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. He was commissioned in 1995 from Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. He attended Joint Undergraduate Navigator Training at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida and Randolph Air Force Base, Texas before serving his initial assignment with the 773rd Airlift Squadron, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio. Col Dodge joined the North Carolina Air National Guard in March 2014. He has participated in multiple Operations including Joint Forge, Coronet Oak, Deep Freeze, Enduring Freedom, Inherent Resolve, Freedom Sentinel, Iraqi Freedom, and Pacific Angel while logging more than 4200 hours in the C-130H.

His notable deployed assignments include Director of Operations and Commander 38th EAS, Operation Joint Forge; Director of Operations 746th EAS, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar; PACAF Mission Commander Pacific Angel Bangladesh and Nepal; and Commander, 737th EAS, Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait.
