What are the Shoppette hours?

9am-4pm, Monday - Friday   
9am - 5pm, Drill weekends

Hours of operation for ID cards:
Appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday  from 0800-1100 and 1230-1500.

NEW IDENTIFICATION PROCESS EFFECTIVE 10 JUL 2008 

The Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System/Realtime Automated Personnel Identification System (DEERS/RAPIDS) will be undergoing a massive change from 9 July 2008 - 10 July 2008. With this change, comes a new process. I will try my best to describe what will be changed, and all necessary information that will need to be passed on.

Effective 11 July 2009 all changes listed below will become effective immediately.

This information is going to be broken down for current military members, retirees, and, dependents, due to that this change will affect all.

RENEWAL OF MILITARY IDENTIFICATION CARDS

For current military members to renew their ID cards, all that is needed is just the current ID card. With this upgrade, this is no longer true. Two forms of identification will have to be presented at time of issuance of ID card; otherwise, the ID card cannot be made. The following lists forms of identification:

 Common Access Card
 Drivers License
 Birth Certificate
 Social Security Card
 Voters Registration Card
 Passport (Current)
 Government employees ID card
 Medical ID card

For retirees to renew their ID cards all that is needed at present is just current retiree ID card, this will no longer be true, after the upgrade. Two forms of identification will have to be presented at time of issuance of ID card; otherwise, the ID card cannot be made. The following lists form of identification:

 Retiree ID card
 Drivers License
 Birth Certificate
 Social Security Card
 Voters Registration Card
 Passport (Current)
 Government employees ID card
 Medical ID card

For spouses:

 Current dependent ID card
 Birth Certificate
 Drivers License
 Social Security Card
 Voters Registration Card
 Passport (Current)
 Government employees ID card
 Medical ID card

For children:

 Current dependent ID card
 Birth Certificate
 Social Security Card
 Born out of wedlock:
o Sponsor is the father - paternity test will have to be done if the father's name is not on the child's birth certificate
o Sponsor is the mother - then add the child to record
 Children need to be age 10 or older to receive

ADDING INFORMATION TO DEERS/RAPIDS

Current members

o Extension - extension paperwork will have to be presented to update
o Re-enlist - re-enlistment paperwork will have to be presented to update
o Promotion/Demotion - this paperwork will have to be presented to update
o To add orders for 30 days or more to system
o Orders will need to be presented at time, without the orders I can't add the active duty segment

Current members/retired members
o Add dependents:
o SPOUSE
 Birth certificate (ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPY; MUST HAVE TO ADD IN SYSTEM)
 Social security card (MUST HAVE CARD OR COPY (NOT WRITTEN DOWN); MUST HAVE TO ADD IN SYSTEM)

 Marriage License (ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPY; MUST
HAVE TO ADD IN SYSTEM)
 Drivers License (COPY; (MUST HAVE TO ADD IN SYSTEM)
o CHILDREN
 Birth Certificate (ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPY; MUST HAVE TO ADD IN SYSTEM
 Social Security Card (MUST HAVE CARD OR COPY, CANNOT BE WRITTEN DOWN

FIRST TIME RECEIVING MILITARY IDENTIFICATION CARD

The following information is for sponsors dependents needing ID cards for the first time. Please keep in mind, the dependents will have to already be in the system or added at time of issuance. Two forms of identification will have to be presented at time of issuance. The following lists forms identification needed at the time of issuance; otherwise, the card cannot be made:
o Spouse
o Drivers License
o Birth Certificate
o Social Security Card
o Voters Registration Card
o Passport (Current)
o Government employees ID card
o Medical ID card

o Children
o Birth Certificate
o Social Security Card
o Driver's License if 21 and older
o Letter from Registrar Office certifying full time status if 21 and older

IMPORTANT

The following has to either be the original document or notarized copy:
o Birth Certificate and Marriage License
