North Carolina Air National Guard Welcomes New Commander

U.S. Army Maj. Gen. James H. Trogdon III, Deputy Adjutant General for North Carolina, presents Col. Marshall C. Collins, 145th Airlift Wing commander with the 145th AW guidon during a Change of Command ceremony held at the North Carolina Air National Guard base, Charlotte Douglas Intl. airport, June 7, 2014. The traditional handing over of the guidon signifies the relief and acceptance of duty between two individuals. It also allows for the accepting commander to be welcomed by their troops, as well as the departing commander to give their ‘thank you’ and farewell. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt.
